In contemporary educational and social contexts, the role of parents in a child’s development and socialization is regarded as a fundamental factor. The “Usum” School’s initiative, the “Conscious Parenting” Platform, aims to present parenting as a realistic and multifaceted process—grounded in life-based experiences, principles of developmental psychology and emotional education, and approaches of collaboration and mutual support.
The platform serves as an environment for the exchange of theoretical knowledge and practical experience among parents, educators, and psychologists.
Foster parental self-awareness and emotional literacy,
Encourage open and trusting communication between parents and children,
Support parents in developing effective communication and conflict management skills,
Promote positive parent–child interaction and expand forms of social support.
Practical advice and effective strategies for managing relationships with children,
Analyses of real parenting experiences—highlighting both successful and challenging situations and their resolutions,
Psychological and pedagogical insights into key parenting themes,
Presentation of playful and creative methods designed to nurture children’s curiosity and self-expression.
The platform’s initiators and working team include professionals well-versed in these issues and active in the field, such as Anzhela Manasyan, expert at the “Bvik” Educational Foundation and head of the “Conscious Parenting” course; Karlen Nazaryan, subject expert and pedagogical methodologist at “Teach For Armenia”; Hasmik Harutyunyan, psychologist and psychotherapist, member of the Armenian Association of Clinical Psychologists and representative of the international organization World Vision; and Hasmik Nazaryan, Anna Manasyan, Meri Petrosyan, and Ani Gevorgyan, educators at the “Usum” School.
The platform’s inaugural event, titled “First Grade: A United Start Toward Success,” will feature the following agenda:
Age-related stages and characteristics. From the playground to the school desk: smooth adaptation (Speaker: H. Harutyunyan).
Causes and management of stubbornness and fear (Speaker: M. Petrosyan).

The seminar will take place on October 25 at 11:00 AM and will include interactive activities and engaging surprises. The total duration is 90 minutes, and participants will receive certificates of participation upon completion
