Formation of parental self-awareness and emotional literacy, promotion of open and trusting parent–child communication, and exploration of practical skills for effective communication and conflict management — with this comprehensive agenda, the “Conscious Parenting” training series was launched a few days ago.
“Usum” school brought together young parents and experienced professionals in the field, whose goal was to equip parents of future first graders with the necessary knowledge ahead of the upcoming academic year. Aiming to publicize positive examples of parent–child relationships to a wider audience, and especially to participating parents, the organizers emphasized the importance of developing soft skills from an early age — as a foundation for social integration and respect-based communication.
The first session of the series, titled “First Grade: A Shared Start Toward Success”, combined pedagogical approaches, psychological insights, and practical exercises, making the 90-minute meeting not only dynamic and diverse but also engaging and pleasant.
From a professional standpoint, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers on topics such as the stages and characteristics of child development, the process of smooth adaptation, effective ways to overcome fears and stubbornness, types of positive parenting, effective teacher–parent cooperation, and how to properly prepare children for school — among other essential issues.
It should be noted that the next session of the “Conscious Parenting” training series on this topic will take place on November 8 at 12:00 PM, at “Usum” school’s building located at 45 Varshavyan Street.
