The end-of-year celebration marking the farewell of the elementary school graduates turned into a unique cultural journey—dedicated to the great Armenian composers and the immense cultural legacy they left behind.
The event’s narrative revolved around the mysterious powers of music: to comfort, to heal, to inspire, to calm, to lift us up—and at times, even to bring us down.
And whose music could embody all these mysteries if not the great Komitas?
From the values Komitas preserved and passed on, to theatrical interpretations of Zeytuntsyan’s “The Great Silence”, from the cultural heritage of Alexander Spendiaryan to the grandeur of Khachaturian, from Babajanyan’s gentle melancholy and longing, all the way to Charles Aznavour and the Olympus of Armenian song.
A meaningful performance, enriched with profound dialogues, it was addressed to each and every one of us—with a heartfelt call to return to our roots from time to time, to recognize their irreplaceable worth, and to continue creating a new.
