"Final Concert 2025" Becomes a Reality

“Annual Report Event” – a Celebration of Achievements

The event that marks the conclusion of each academic year at “Usum” School is known as the “Annual Report Event” — a festive awards concert dedicated to recognizing the progress and accomplishments made throughout the year.

Held in anticipation of the school’s 28th anniversary, this year’s hour-and-a-half celebration brought together under one roof the teachers who made outstanding contributions to the school’s development and the students who brought honor to “Usum” on various platforms, excelling in both school-wide and national Olympiads. The goal was to encourage others by showcasing their example and to further expand the circle of awardees in the years to come.

The first part of the event was a vibrant cultural showcase of the academic year — from the graduation waltz of the 2024–2025 graduates and traditional Armenian dances to a musical performance dedicated to the capital city of Yerevan and the graceful elegance of classical “Nairyan” movements.

For the second year in a row, the event’s dynamic scenario was centered around sincerity, lively speech, and interactive communication with the audience. The hosting team did an exceptional job, featuring fourth-grader Aram Nahapetyan, known for his natural charm and stage presence, along with ninth-graders Anna Vorskanian, Sara Martirosyan, Anna Galstyan, Student Council President Arevik Khosyan, and graduating seniors Stepan Stepanyan and Anna Davtyan.

In the opening part of the program, the school’s principal, Mr. S. Tamaryan, delivered a welcome speech, announcing the successful completion of the admissions process for the incoming 2025–2026 first graders. He also expressed his confidence that in the coming years, “Usum” will continue to meet — and exceed — the academic expectations of its students through persistent effort.

As Student Council President Arevik Khosyan explained in her remarks, the second half of the event was a symbolic “spring harvest” — the awarding of 106 students and their teachers who had demonstrated excellence throughout the year, especially in competitions and Olympiads. It’s worth noting that many students received awards or diplomas in multiple subjects, reflecting their well-rounded development.

Arguably the most emotional and eagerly awaited moment came at the very end, when the stage welcomed this year’s top honorees: 10th-grader Narek Khachatryan, awarded the title of “Distinguished Usum Student”; graduates Lusine Tamaryan, Zaven Vardanyan, and Natali Manukyan, each recipients of the school’s Honorary Gold Medal; and Vahe Makaryan, winner of the national Geography Olympiad.

Concluding the event, Principal S. Tamaryan expressed his belief that next year’s celebration will bring even more names and even louder applause — because it’s impossible to look at these students on stage and not be inspired by their example.
