The Armenian army has a millennia-long history, and the annual event in our school was dedicated to presenting this glorious history, marking the 33rd anniversary of the formation of the Armenian army.
On stage, not only was the formation of the third republic's army brought to life, but also episodes showcasing the victorious moments of all Armenian armies throughout history.
The performances included scenes of victories ranging from the defeat of the tyrant Bel to the army of Tigran the Great, medieval cavalry charges to the triumphs of the Cilician naval forces, episodes from the liberation struggle, and the heroic acts from the Four-Day War and the 44-Day War.
The victorious atmosphere was, of course, impossible to achieve without the martial and bold war dances – the inspiring yarkhushtan, berd, and kochari.
In short, the cultural and patriotic spirit permeated not only the hall but also the discussions and opinions that followed the event.
