APPLICANT 2026-2027

Children who turn six (6) years old within the 2026 calendar year are eligible to apply for first-grade admission at Usum School.
The admission process will take place according to the following steps:
1. Online Registration: Applications must be submitted exclusively online from January 13 to March 10 inclusive․
2. Registration Fee: A non-refundable registration fee of 10 000 AMD must be paid during the registration process. Registration is only complete once all fields in the provided link are filled out and the fee is paid.
3. Assessment Course: English translation: Registered applicants must participate in a specialized training session (February 28–March 1 and March 14–15, according to the preferred schedule indicated during registration) and undergo a personal interview  (between March 23 and March 26, as specified in the notification received by email). The courses will be organized only on the above-mentioned days, excluding the applicant’s repeated participation.
4. Ranking System: A ranking scale will be created based on the points accumulated during the course and interview.The ranking scale established by the Commission and the admission results are not subject to appeal.
5. Notification and Enrollment: Until April 1st inclusive, parents or legal representatives will receive an email notification regarding the admission results.
6. Priority Consideration: Usum School will give priority for those applicants who are:
-siblings of our current students,
-kids of school coworkers.
7. School Tours: Parents may visit the school’s three buildings for a tour on Mondays and Tuesdays in February between 10:00 AM and 11:00 PM (no prior appointment required).
8. Building Assignment Priorities: When assigning students to school branches, the following principles are taken into account in the order listed below:
1) the presence of a sibling (brother or sister) in the given branch,
2) the fact that the student is a child of an employee,
3) the proximity of the student’s residential address to the given branch,
4) where possible, the availability of places in the given branch and the parent’s stated preference for that branch.
9. Paid services: Based on the Government of the Republic of Armenia’s Decision No. 137-N, dated February 2, 2023, the school offers the following paid services:
1) compulsory general education, including extended-day schooling,
2) student transportation services,
3) students meal organization,
4) extracurricular education, including excursions and educational study visits,
5) additional general education programs,
6) additional classes of computer programs and foreign languages.

Admission for students entering grades 2-4 is subject to availability and will only take place if vacancies arise due to student movement.
The process includes:
1. Online Registration: Applications must be submitted exclusively online.
2. Assessment Fee: A non-refundable fee of 10 000 AMD must be paid using one of the offered payment options during the registration process.
3. Notification and Testing: If vacancies are available, registered applicants will receive an invitation to take the assessment at Usum School.
4. Knowledge Assessment: Applicants will undergo an assessment covering the following subjects:
1) The Armenian Language
2) Maths
3) The Russian Language
4) The English Language
5. Notification and Enrollment: Parents will be notified of the results via email.

1) compulsory general education,
2) student transportation services,
3) students meal organization,
4) extracurricular education, including excursions and educational study visits,

Admission to grades 5-12 is available only when vacancies arise due to student movement, either during the academic year or at the end of the school year in June.
The process follows these steps:
1. Online Registration: Applications must be submitted exclusively online.
2. Assessment Fee:
A non-refundable fee of 10 000 AMD must be paid using one of the offered payment options during the registration process․
3. Knowledge Assessment: If vacancies are available, registered applicants will be notified and invited to take an exam evaluating their proficiency in:
1) The Armenian Language
2) Maths
3) The Russian Language
4) The English Language
4. Notification of Results:
Parents will receive the admission results via email. The list of children admitted to the school is approved by the admissions committee based on the knowledge assessment and the subsequent interview stage. The decision of the admissions committee is final and not subject to appeal.

 

5. Notification and Testing: If vacancies are available, registered applicants will be notified and invited to take the centralized assessment, conducted on pre-established dates in June. The schedule will be published in the “Events” section of the school’s website (www.usumschool.am).

6. Paid services: Based on the Government of the Republic of Armenia’s Decision No. 137-N, dated February 2, 2023, the school offers the following paid services:
