On November 14, the founder of the school, H. Navasardyan, the principal, S. Tamaryan, and the deputy principals, L. Sujyan and A. Hambardzumyan, participated in the "Non-Governmental Schools Conference" organized by the "One Voice" Association, which was held in a panel discussion format.
The aim of the event was to establish effective dialogue between non-governmental educational institutions and relevant governmental bodies. Additionally, for us, as those responsible for the spiritual and intellectual "hermeneutics" of education, it was particularly important to reflect on the purpose of education to determine whether we share the same understanding of it and whether there is a need to redefine the purpose of education for individuals, society, and the state.
During the panel discussion, legislative processes related to non-governmental schools and the development of the public education system aimed at supporting the activities of these schools were discussed. The effectiveness of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Education Inspection Body was also a topic of conversation.
Furthermore, the discussion addressed the universal goals of education, the role of the teacher in achieving these goals, and questions about the meaning of education and the trends in education development in Armenia, influenced by the unique characteristics of the Armenian national identity.
